DIRTY MURPHY
Bio
This is not your father's blues band. Playing
classic Chicago blues through the funnel of a hard rock past, DIRTY MURPHY
creates a fiery modern interpretation of the blues.
If you want to wallow in your blues, this is
not the band for you. But if you want to get down with juke joint
rockin', shake your money maker blues, step right up. Low down and dirty,
sweet and low down, ready to fuss and fight. DIRTY MURPHY mixes the
classic songs of Howlin' Wolf, Elmore James, and Muddy Waters with more
modern artists like the Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, and Joe Bonamassa, as well
as their own original songs into an old school roadhouse blues party.
The DIRTY MURPHY rhythm section of Jason
"Jukebox" Bystrak on
drums and George "Jorge" Charley on bass lay it down
and pound it out. They are the heartbeat that drives the music. On top of
their rock solid groove guitarist Gabriel "Lightning" Visco
pulls whispers, moans, and howls from his six strings. Blues is not
the blues without reeds, and Nick "Dog" Angelo on the harp brings the sound to life. And out front Thomas
"Blues"
Broderick gives voice to the emotions, adds the soul, and augments it
all with a wailing harp - all the while acting as master of
ceremonies over a party where nobody gets to be a wall flower.
